Our latest order of exterior shades came from a Mr. Moffich, who wanted something lighter than blinds for a glass door. There wasn’t a good attachment point or space for extra tracks inside the door, so external shades it would be. Mr. Moffich liked the idea of keeping the glass clean from the outside as well.
Glass doors usually work best with vertical shades, and those are what we crafted and installed for Mr. Moffich. Another set of slider tracks on the outside of the glass door and a vertical roller on the right side served as the foundations. The nylon and fiberglass sheet we installed on sliding pegs made a tight fit, and an attractive one. Last, we tested to make sure the lock and roller worked in tandem.
